This Seattle Sound series is fantastic and I was thrilled to read an advance copy of Hold You Close. I’m not sure there’s anything better than a second chance romance, and this one made me laugh, made me cry, squeezed my heart, then jammed it in my throat, but best of all left me with that satisfied, happy sigh at the end.

Alexa Padgett has a gift for creating a setting that’s believable and realistic and characters who are complex, damaged, redeemable and so very endearing. I loved everything about Mila and Murphy! Well, not Murphy’s revolving door of disposable women (if that bothers you, don’t worry, there are no details), but knowing what drove his behavior made it understandable, even evoking a bit of empathy, and set him up to heal his wounds and become a better man. Mila wasn’t without flaws, which only makes it better when two lost souls can find each other again and become better together than they ever were apart.

If you like a book that has a lot of heart and passion, a little humor and heat and one that will keep you on pins and needles right up until the end, you’ll love this book! It’s well worth reading!!
