So many of you have asked me about Abbi’s story…Well, here it is! Many Sounds of Silence is available for pre-order and it hits your devices January 9th.
This was a difficult book for me to write. Not because of Abbi–she’s a special lady, and I loved spending time with her. No. This book was hard because of the subject matter.
We now live in a world of cyber bullying. I’ve lived through this with my daughter, and the entire situation–the fact that people treat each other so poorly–breaks my heart. I mean rips a hole clean through it.
I struggle to understand the desire to destroy another person’s self-esteem, safety, and ability to trust. Maybe, through Abbi, some people will see how hurtful their actions are. Or…maybe not. I’m old enough now to realize there are just some really cruel people in the world. A sucky lesson, to be sure.
For those of you who have read Many Sounds of Silence, I’d love your thoughts. Write to me or put it up on your favorite e-tailer or Goodreads. I want to know what stuck with you about this book (if anything). Abbi doesn’t always make the smartest decisions. Her fears and insecurities ensure that. You know why? Because I know ladies this age, and they don’t always make the best decisions. Sometimes the hurt or censure just are too much. But guess what? You aren’t alone. As Clay says, “You never were.”

Take that to heart, please. Hold it close and remember, always, I’m here, cheering for you just as I did for Abbi.
In reading love,
